Developer Coffee Chat: Building, Debugging, and Hardening MCP Applications with Orkes MCP Gateway + MCP Workbench

Grab your coffee and let's build something cool together

Watch Livestream

Teams adopt MCP to connect agents to tools quickly, then run into reliability issues during testing and rollout. Common problems include tools failing intermittently, requests not matching expected schemas, unclear error messages, and inconsistent behavior between different MCP clients. These issues slow down development and make it harder to support tools in production.
This webinar focuses on a practical approach to diagnosing and fixing those problems using MCP Workbench and the Orkes MCP Gateway. We’ll use MCP Workbench to connect to MCP servers, verify basic connectivity, inspect requests and responses, and validate tool inputs against schemas so failures are reproducible and easier to resolve. Then we’ll show how Orkes MCP Gateway can expose backend actions as MCP tools in a consistent way, with clear interfaces and controlled access. Finally, we’ll cover how to keep tools stable over time by applying input/output schemas and simple request/response transformations so agent requests remain compatible as implementations change.
This session is designed for engineers building MCP tools, platform teams supporting agent integrations, and anyone responsible for making tool execution dependable.
Duration: ~40 minutes | Difficulty: Some experience with the model context protocol (MCP) encouraged but not required.
